Telecommunication and Connectivity Technician

The challenges that await you

Under the authority of your manager, you are responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and proper functioning of the network infrastructure, including networking equipment, wireless, cellular, IP and traditional telephony, and radio communication.

 

In this capacity, you provide technical support for hardware and software issues involving networking and participate in implementation or improvement projects for communications.

 

You are in contact with internal clients and must work collaboratively with other teams in the innovation and technology department.

The ideal profile for us
    • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in computer techniques, network management;
    • Have thirty (30) months of relevant experience in the role, specifically:
    • Management of Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls;
    • Experience in IP telephony
    • Configuration of IP network technologies, particularly a good understanding of TCP/IP protocols (Spanning-Tree, LACP, 802.1x, 802.1Q), routing protocols, and networking services (VPN, DNS, DHCP);
    • Configuration of networking equipment, such as switches, firewalls, wireless technology, and access points;
    • Network management of a cloud environment.
    • Knowledge of the Azure environment is an asset;
    • Experience in mobility technology and cellular data (Modems) is an asset.
    • Possess knowledge of telephony equipment such as PBX;
    • Possess knowledge of tools and systems in network management;
    • Possess knowledge of scripting is an asset;
    • Hold a valid driver's license and have a vehicle.
