Assistant Director - Technological Infrastructure and Telecommunications

Reporting to the Director of Technology Infrastructure and Telecommunications, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for ensuring that technologies are efficient in achieving corporate objectives, working closely with the team of analysts, programmers, network administrators and network technicians. In addition, he/she will be responsible for providing users with high-quality service in relation to the systems, tools and equipment they use.

• Manage and/or participate in various types of special projects, including cyclical technology upgrades, ongoing initiatives and one-off projects;
• Plan, organize and supervise activities related to IT operations, as well as the implementation and evolution of information systems and websites;
• Oversee application development processes and continue to reinforce the use of the agile method within the team and the organization;
• Ensure the link between IT development projects and their release into production;
• Supervise and mobilize your team and ensure a stimulating work environment;
• Supervise incident, change request and problem management processes according to IT service management best practices such as ITIL for systems, tools and hardware;
• Guarantee system availability and performance;
• Ensure that procedures are documented in line with new knowledge bases;
• Ensure the appropriate level of information security for the information assets under your responsibility, and the correction of security breaches following security audits and penetration tests;
• Provide the team of technical and IT professionals with all the tools they need to accomplish their tasks;
• Ensure quality IT support for users;
• Manage contractual agreements with suppliers;
• Plan IT hardware and telecommunications purchases
• Perform all other related tasks.

You have...

• Very good knowledge of development environments (Oracle, Microsoft, geomatics);
• Very good knowledge of modern Web technologies;
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, virtualization environments, Windows and Linux environments, cloud computing, information security and telecommunications;
• Fluency in spoken and written French.
