Cybersecurity Consultant

Techso is looking to expand its team of IT consultants. As a full-time member of the Techso team, you will work as an IT / Cybersecurity Consultant to meet the needs of our customers based in Montreal and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Be deployed at our customers' sites, for short, medium or long periods, to offer cybersecurity services tailored to their needs
• Carry out IT security audits, write reports and present recommendations to customers
• Participate in the correction of code and IT architectures
• Become a reference on best practices in cybersecurity by constantly monitoring technological developments, and share know-how with other consultants.
• Participate in the design of new tools or systems enabling automated operational safety management
  Create and update best practice documents.

Skills required

• Degree in computer engineering with a minimum of 3 years' experience
• Concrete experience in information security, including threat modeling and risk quantification
• Concrete experience in information technology, including use of cloud services and infrastructures (Azure, AWS, OVH, Oracle Cloud)
• Advanced knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, VPN, SSH, etc.)
• Knowledge of access identification management, IT security governance and compliance
• Experience with Wireshark and similar tools
• Experience in firewall configuration (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Arista, etc.)
• Experience in secure database deployment (SQL or other)
• Experience in securely deploying databases and IT environments on different platforms (Windows and Linux)
• Development and implementation of security solutions based on an industry-recognized control framework, including Azure and AWS cloud environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft desktop and cloud security platforms, tools and services
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, Git, etc.)

Assets

• CISSP and/or GCIH
• PCI-DSS knowledge
• Azure and/or AWS certifications
• SAFe, Lean Agile experience
• Experience in capturing and documenting business needs, security requirements and acceptance criteria as part of a tendering process

Skills required

• The candidate must be able to work autonomously and comfortably in an environment where ways of doing things are not always formalized.
• Pragmatic thinking is a must.
