Coordinator - Telecommunications Networks

STATUS: Temporary - Duration of 85 weeks

SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 08:30 to 16:30

The challenges that await you

You ensure the operation of computerized data transmission networks. You are responsible for developing solutions and integrating various technologies used to meet the network data communication needs of the City's services. Additionally, as part of operations, you participate in the implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities related to the various telecommunications networks of the City.

More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Participate in all activities related to the analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of telecommunications networks or any other studies on topics relevant to your area of expertise;
  • Participate in the coordination and monitoring of planning and analysis mandates for telecommunications networks assigned to consultants;
  • Meet with users in various departments and identify communication technologies that can meet their needs;
  • Advise service managers, according to established guidelines, on the selection of appropriate network communication technologies for their needs and ensure their implementation;
  • Assign, distribute, and verify the work performed by staff, without having formal hierarchical authority. Determine standards, control the quality of work, and evaluate the results obtained.
The ideal profile for us
  • Education acquired through a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or any other related field;
  • Possess six (6) years of relevant experience in telecommunications;
  • Possess advanced knowledge of networking concepts;
  • Assets: ITIL certification.
