Business Analyst / IT Custodianship

This role sits within LBC Tech, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.

We are an application support L4/L5 and development team which supports multiple business lines such as Capital Markets, Treasury, etc. We manage and support 100+ applications for which we are IT Owners/Custodians. We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to become a key member of the team, whose role will contribute to strengthening our core capabilities for readiness, compliance, risk, security, development from and IT perspective. The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating and supporting all activities related to IT custodianship.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with key stakeholders within enterprise IT teams to provide required inputs from application support and development teams.
  • Support change management activities
  • Develop and standardize documentation for internal key IT support functions
  • Coordinate Disaster Recovery testing activities with relevant technical resources
  • Coordinate application support Server Patching activities with relevant technical resources
  • Coordinate security related activities (Example: Penetration Testing)
  • Liaise with key technology vendors
  • Support Audit requirements by gathering and providing key evidences.
  • Support Application Currency projects
  • Act as active participant in gathering and owning information regarding current infrastructure. (Example: Underlying hardware Currency)
  • Become a Corporate Knowledge expert for applications supported by application team
  • Facilitate the maintenance of all lower environments.
 
Qualifications:
  • University degree or college diploma in a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an analyst.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • Strong critical and analytical skills
  • Experience working with different banking systems and banking products
  • Experience with ServiceNow or related tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, managers, and subject matter experts and ability to negotiate effectively to manage project deliverables.
  • Knowledge of the different SDLC Methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall etc.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self starter, comfort dealing with ambiguity and multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding and rapidly changing environment.
  • The individual must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and results-oriented, be diligent and work with a sense of urgency
