Employment Summary

As part of its functions, the BIM modeler is called upon to develop content on tools, such as Revit, and other design software. This position involves being able to read 3D content for designs related to building construction.

The BIM modeler is 3D modeling technical assistance for the project team. It deals with planning and 3D presentations in the models. In addition, it can make BIM coordination as needed. As part of its role, it helps and assists projects by providing technical support. The main feature of the position is the mastery of the Revit software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare BIM models and models from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering, quotes and other data;
  • elaborate and prepare sketches;
  • Check the BIM models so that they comply with the specifications and data books;
  • Participate in the drafting of technical reports;
  • ensure compliance with deadlines and established standards;
  • Show precision and conciseness in the execution of his work.

Skills sought

  • Diploma of college or professional design in drawing or any other relevant training;
  • a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Advanced Mastery of Revit Software;
  • construction company experience;
  • ASP card (an asset);
  • able to work alternately on the construction sites and the office;
  • Excellent knowledge of electricity and / or mechanics.
