Project Manager - Clinical Standardization Project

Our client is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to lead a large-scale clinical standardization project. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the successful completion of the project. This role includes coordinating communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project goals and objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
  • Lead the project through its full lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication and coordination.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, costs, quality, risks, and communications to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate collaboration among clinicians, IT teams, healthcare administrators, and regulatory bodies.
  • Regularly report project status to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and address potential resistance points.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Information Management, Public or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of applicable education and experience. A university degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or Information Technology is also acceptable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with a proven history of managing large, cross-functional teams, overseeing budgets, and delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience managing healthcare IT projects, particularly in Health Information Systems (HIS) or Clinical Information Systems (CIS) and Clinical standardization.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), PRINCE2, or another recognized project management certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with transformative clinical information system projects using both adaptive (agile) and predictive (waterfall) methodologies.
  • Expertise in employing project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams).
  • Bilingualism in French and English is strongly preferred.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires full-time commitment for a period of 2 years, with potential for extension. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required.
  • Remote work is permitted, but travel to New Brunswick will be required at least once a month.
  • The successful candidate will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement and complete privacy training before starting the assignment.
