NV-09As a web API programmer analyst, you contribute to IT efficiency. You design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade computer networks, management systems and database servers in accordance with the organization's needs.You draw on your ability to work with technology and anticipate innovations to help develop, standardize and roll out medium- to large-scale IT systems, programs and applications. You analyze client and partner needs and influence decisions on project-specific IT solutions and information systems. To this end, you plan, prioritize and coordinate the work so as to deliver on the commitments made in line with the objectives. The nature of your initiatives and projects calls for a comprehensive knowledge of your field.You make recommendations for project execution and help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you interact with stakeholders working in other fields.You serve as a systems resource person for your unit, the clients and various stakeholders.

More specifically, you design, develop and test APIs or other services as part of multiple major transformation projects at Desjardins.

Based on need, you could be required to develop directly in the platform framework. Development is primarily focused on the CA API Gateway platform. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Actively help develop execution strategies and analyze, design and document programs and applications. Help develop, code and test them
  • Provide technical support and follow-up for IT operations
  • Draft operational specifications, procedures and methods. Develop documentation and prepare and deliver user training
  • Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve critical and complex system problems
  • Lead software installation and testing and application rollout.

Additionnal responsibilities

  • Actively help develop execution strategies, analyze, design and document programs and applications. Help develop, code and test them
  • Provide technical support or follow-up for IT operations
  • Draft functional specifications, operating procedures and methods. Develop documentation, and prepare and deliver user training
  • Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve critical and complex system problems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of four year of relevant experience
  • Experience with cloud-based environments (PaaS, IaaS or CaaS)
  • Experience using an API gateway
  • Experience in continuous integration, testing and deployment
  • Experience using SoapUI, ReadyAPI or Postman testing tools
  • Experience in preparing and conducting unit, integration and non-regression testing (an asset)

Specific knowledge

  • Solid understanding of WebAPI REST and SOAP concepts, understanding of the market standards for web services (SOAP, WS-*, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of WebAPI REST and SOA concepts and of the security associated with these protocols
  • Proficiency in one of the following languages: Angular, Python, Java
  • Understanding of the market standards for web services (SOAP, WS-*, etc.)
  • Knowledge of OAuth2 security standards
  • Knowledge of Git, branch management and basic commands
  • Knowledge of continuous delivery and automation tools
