Are you ready for the challenge?Your drive to participate in the delivery of software solutions as a developer is critical.As Tech Lead, Java, you actively participate in the analysis, development and upgrading of large-scale software products that are part of business solutions. You meet the needs of members and clients, and ensure the quality and security of the solutions you code.As part of a team, you take on a leadership role and act as a specialist in the continuous delivery, maintenance and updating of solutions. You support your team and are required to collaborate regularly with other squads.You are able to make technical decisions in a strategic context and be accountable for them. Your leadership and interpersonal skills as well as your experience in DevOps, CI/CD and Agile practices allow you to deliver stable products, continuously improve their quality and find solutions.You have an opportunity to share your experiences with a community of practice for developers.More specifically, you are joining the developer experience team whose objectives include providing complete tool boxes for each developer profile in the organization, including development languages, frameworks, practices, tools and workstations.

Additional responsabilities

  • Monitor the market and direct development under the Java ecosystem
  • Support and advise the development teams regarding the use of frameworks and tools relating mainly to Spring Boot technology
  • Coach the team in applying technology to develop business solutions and help the team advance in order to improve delivery speed
  • Improve the development tools offering made available to developers
  • Analyze and develop software products, including the design, coding, testing and operations while applying best development, data and security practices 
  • Work on a co-creative basis with the development teams to provide development components, practices and tools that can be used throughout the organization
  • Participate in the automation of testing (master the associated methodologies such as testing pyramids, TDD, BDD) and in solutions delivery
  • Analyze and actively participate in resolving highly complex problems encountered by developers
  • Act as a mentor to the development team with regard to technology and practices
  • Document the technical solutions and the practices under articles and blogs

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of Spring Boot ans of Pivotal Cloud Foundry
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices
  • Knowledge of modern development tools
  • Knowledge of Docker (an asset)
