Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, the trainee will provide daily IT support to all company users as well as assistance to the team in the various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order and install all IT and technology equipment in the new stations;
  • Implement technological tools for new users;
  • Maintain the equipment and software of users' computers;
  • Address situations during or after work hours when necessary;
  • Provide and deploy new software and equipment;
  • Provide support and technical advice to users;
  • Participate in technical project deployments;
  • Plan and perform regular software updates;
  • Provide support to users of platforms used by operations;
  • Install networking hardware;

Knowledge, Skills and Experiences Wanted:

  • Graduate in computer science, DEP in computer support, or any similar training;
  • Desktop software support;
  • Active Directory and Exchange account management;
  • Experience installing cables and network hardware requested;
  • Antivirus software such as Webroot, McAfee, Symantec, Sophos, etc .;
  • Remote access of software like TeamViewer, Goto2Assist, Join.me, RDP, Citrix etc;
  • ITSM software such as Remedy, Track-IT !, Heat, etc .;
  • Backup software like Arcserve, Backup Exec, etc;
  • Anomaly diagnostic tools like Process Monitor, Event Viewer, etc;
  • Must know the concepts of VPN, dial-up and network in general;
  • Experience in project management an asset
  • Experience with ProgressionLive an asset
