NV-10The Business Financing Solutions Department works in Agile mode and with several squads to deliver innovative and modern solutions for our business members and clients. This rapidly changing and dynamic team is seeking new talent.As a DevOps specialist, you contribute to IT efficiency. You design, secure, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade cloud services in keeping with the organization's needs. You play a leadership role and serve as systems specialist for your unit and for clients and stakeholders.You analyze client and partner needs and influence decisions regarding appropriate IT solutions. To this end, you plan, prioritize and coordinate work to deliver on the commitments made in line with the objectives. The nature of your files and projects calls for comprehensive knowledge of your field. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of the line of business. Coordination is critical. You frequently interact with various stakeholders working in complementary areas of expertise. You act as a systems resource person for your unit and for clients and various stakeholders.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities

  • Contribute to squad deliverables that are significant in scope and impact the business as a whole

  • Contribute to developing cloud computing services in accordance with standards, while supporting your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives

  • Identify and analyze problems. Raise any issues. Develop diagnostics and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned

  • Handle development and implementation for cloud services operations to strike a balance between business needs, compliance with requirements and best practices

  • Monitor the industry to ascertain and anticipate trends in your area and make recommendations to develop best practices

  • Maintain the continuous delivery platform for Desjardins Group's cloud computing environments

  • Prepare, document and implement the platform’s infrastructure and tools

  • Support and assist the development squads in implementing their application delivery solution

  • Help develop and update the platform

  • Investigate and resolve production incidents

Other working conditions

  • Workplace: Currently regular telework because of the pandemic. Position located in Montreal or Levis, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of the platform architecture and administration of continuous delivery products: Jenkins, Concourse CI, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SonarQube, Bitbucket, GitHub, TFS

  • Knowledge of the MS Azure cloud platform

  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Bash

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, such as Python, Java, Go

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

  • Knowledge of a Cloud Provider Interface, such as BOSH

  • Knowledge of configuration management tools, such as Ansible (an asset)

  • Knowledge of IaC (Infrastructure as Code) with tools such as Terraform (an asset)
