NV-11As Solutions Architect, you will actively monitor opportunities offered by new technologies and business approaches for the organization as a whole. You will design solutions to meet the business needs of large scale projects or programs that leverage architecture and foundation targets.You will take on, from a Desjardins Group perspective, a leadership and influencer role when interacting with business partners, specialists on solution or business architecture, and development teams for strategic, complex and innovative initiatives. The nature of the files requires extensive and in-depth expertise in several technology and/or business areas. Your influence affects applications, and data and infrastructure areas.You will make recommendations relative to solution architecture, and the development and delivery of files or projects with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. Coordination will be critical. You will be required to interact with a very large number of stakeholders who are active in a variety of fields of expertise. Highly developed interpersonal skills will therefore be essential.You will serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities 

  • Serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert for projects and mandates specific to your area of expertise and whose scope and impact are significant and may be felt across Desjardins Group. Identify and prioritize projects that combine business and technology and that support business strategies

  • Advise and assist business partners and specialists with the positioning, planning, development, performance and follow-up of various strategic mandates under your responsibility. Organize, manage and deliver guidelines, as needed, on specific technical subjects requiring the consensus of multiple stakeholders

  • Develop and update policies, standards, architecture targets and supporting foundations, or technology solutions, taking into account aspects pertaining to data, applications and infrastructures to support your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives

  • Identify and analyze problems. Raise any major issues. Establish frameworks and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies and committees involved

  • Represent your unit in dealings with senior management committees and decision-making bodies

  • Represent Desjardins when negotiating and committing to agreements with partners or external organizations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of eight years of a relevant experience

  • Relevant experience in presenting to an organization’s executives

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required 

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of BiZZdesign, Casewise, Confluence, PowerBI and Office Suite 365 (an asset)

  • Proficient speaker, advanced knowledge of English
