NV-11As Senior Advisor, Information Security, Security Governance you help protect IT hardware, software and data against modification, destruction and accidental or unauthorized disclosure. You also assist in authentication and access control by designing, administering and controlling proven security systems. You analyze IT system vulnerabilities and implement protective measures to back up, restore and secure systems.You play an advisory and coaching role in the organization as part of IT security intervention initiatives. You develop work processes, methods and tools. The nature of your files and projects calls for extensive knowledge of your area.You propose recommendations, solutions and action plans in line with the organization's objectives and priorities. You share ideas and help solve problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business.You are required to interact with stakeholders working in complementary, technology-related fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

  • Workplace: Currently regular telework because of the pandemic. Position located in Montreal or Lévis, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in information technology, including at least 4 years in cybersecurity

  • Master's degree in a relevant field

  • Experience in security governance, risk assessment and the development of security policies and standards

  • Experience with major information security initiatives

Please note that other combinaisons of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Certified or working toward certification in information security (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, GPEN, OSCP) 

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of the ISO 27001 standard, NIST and major compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS

  • Familiarity with information security methods and approaches

  • Knowledge of project management

  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
