Job Level

NV-09As Programmer Analyst, .NET, you contribute to IT efficiency. You analyze, design, configure, develop, maintain and upgrade software in accordance with the organization's needs. You share responsibility for the quality of coded solutions.You draw on your ability to work with technology and anticipate innovations to help develop, standardize and roll out medium- to large‑scale IT systems, programs and applications. You analyze client and partner needs and influence decisions on appropriate IT solutions. To this end, you plan, prioritize and coordinate work to deliver on the commitments made in line with the objectives. The nature of your files and projects calls for comprehensive knowledge of your field. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of the line of business. Coordination is critical. You frequently interact with various stakeholders working in complementary areas of expertise. You serve as a systems resource person for your unit, clients and various practitioners.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities 

  • Play an active role in developing execution strategies and analyze and develop software products, including design, coding, test automation and operations, while applying best practices in development, data and security.

  • Document technical solutions and practices to ensure product sustainability, develop documentation, and prepare and deliver training for peers and consumers.

  • Provide technical support for IT operations. Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve critical and complex system problems. 

  • Co-create with business partners and architects to gain a complete understanding of business intentions and objectives, and standardize solutions accordingly.

  • Lead software installation and testing as well as application rollout.

Additional responsibilities

  • Analyze system components, functional and non-functional specifications, change requests or technical issues.

  • Help standardize and implement programs and systems.

  • Provide technical support for specific IT operations and follow up on issues with project leaders.

  • Develop medium to complex IT applications, programs, and tools, and run tests and take corrective actions as needed, adapting them based on the client’s needs.

  • Maintain and update various databases and recommend improvements to optimize database quality and efficiency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Extensive experience in C# and VB.NET development

  • Experience working on Agile projects

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of approach to unit testing

  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented breakdown

  • Knowledge of TDD, unit testing, .NET Core 3.1, .NET 6 (an asset), Azure DevOps, PLSQL and MVC

  • Knowledge of SPA (an asset)

  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Angular (an asset)

  • Knowledge of TypeScript (an asset) and DDD (an asset)

  • Knowledge of microservices (an asset)
