The City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is looking for a Network and Systems Administrator within its IT team reporting to the Finance and IT Department.

JOB DESCRIPTION Under the responsibility of the IT coordinator, the administrator ensures the operation of the computer equipment including software and systems, and carries out various analyzes. The incumbent processes user requests, monitors operations and contributes to team projects including the optimization of the IT infrastructure. More specifically, in collaboration with the second administrator, his role: • Analyze problems on computer, telephone and audio-visual systems and perform troubleshooting and maintenance; • Administer and troubleshoot the computer network and its components; • Ensure the integration of software and equipment, participate in system testing and ensure continuity during the break-in period; • Participate in setting up, install and configure computer equipment and software; • Propose solutions to improve computer systems; • Present acquisition options to your coordinator in Regarding hardware or software, propose a supplier and ensure the follow-up of purchases once approved; • Follow up on requests from users concerning the operation and use of equipment and software ; • Coordinate its activities és with other internal departments or subcontractors in carrying out the City's IT projects and associated sites; • Write procedures or policies relating to the use of computer equipment, software or computer systems, as needed; • Ensure that computer devices are functional, ensure the creation and monitoring of user accounts and take inventory of equipment.

REQUIRED CES • Computer technology (network and security management or general IT); • Have years of relevant experience; • Driver's license, class 5; • Experience with the Windows Server environment, in virtualization (VMware); • Experience in the administration of an IP network; • Experience in administration and development with a DBMS (for example, SQL Server); • Experience with cloud computing services (SaaS, PaaS, Office365, etc.); • Experience in process automation with SCADA systems, an asset; • Experience in IT security, a asset; • Competence in IP telephony, an asset; • Competence with building management systems such as video surveillance, access control, temperature, an asset. • Knowledge and interest inmobile devices (tablet, smartphone) and audio-visual.

CONDITIONS • Permanent position; • Salary scale class 12, step 1 (34, $ 34 / h) at step 7 ($ 42.20 / h); • Schedule of 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon); • Be available occasionally during emergencies, breakdowns, etc., outside working hours; • Group insurance program following probation, vacations offered according to the collective agreement and funds pension as soon as the criteria are met.
