The challenges ahead

The role of the IT Service Center technician is to provide support to users by responding adequately to IT requests related to software, software packages or equipment or by supporting them with the use of different IT equipment. The technician may be called upon to offer this support by telephone or to travel, if necessary, to support the user at his workstation.

The profile sought

Instruction acquired at the end of a college diploma (DEC) in computer science;

Possess eighteen ( 18) months of experience relevant to the job, as described in the summary appearing above;

Possess a valid class 5 driver's license;

Have experience in maintenance and technical support in a Windows environment;

Demonstrate an ability to work independently;

Possess the skills to analyze and solve technical problems;

Be available to work outside normal office hours to do emergency work.
