Position Summary

the supervision of the Project Manager (Computer Science), the person holding the position is mainly responsible for the implementation of IT projects. It meets the City's needs in terms of monitoring and coordination of projects and represents the Service in relations with customers and suppliers. It meets the needs of the City by ensuring planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the various IT project activities at each stage. In addition, it must ensure that the products and equipment used comply with the quality and standards established by the service and meet the expectations of customers.

The person is called to work on various types of projects such as the enhancement of the information system, the introduction of new systems, etc. in order to computerize business functions.

The person can also be responsible for collecting the business and functional requirements as well as writing the documentation necessary for the evaluation of the start-up. project. Finally, she must respond to any other requests relating to her service.

As a member of the Service's management team, she must be a mobilizing agent for employees. She directs, executes and coordinates the projects entrusted to her. She provides supervision and participates in the selection of new people on her team. Finally, it must exercise an expert advisory role and ensure that it responds to all inquiries relating to the Information Technology Department.

Requirements

Training

-Diploma of undergraduate studies (BAC) in computer science or equivalent;

Relevant experience >

-Minimum: 4 years of experience in the field of information technology, including 2 years as coordinator or project manager.

Other

- Advanced knowledge of business process writing and identification of requirements; - Advanced knowledge of project management / project coordination; - Advanced knowledge of the cycle software development; - Intermediate knowledge of an Agile methodology (Lean, Scrum, SaFe or other); -Require the level of security investigation required for the position.

Assets -Geomatic knowledge; -Knowledge of the PMBOK standard; -knowledge of municipal management software; -knowledge of collaborative platforms such as Atlassian Jira / Confluence and / or others; - Intermediate level English skills.

Schedule Full-time position, 35 hours / week. / p>
