IT infrastructure and support advisor

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the incumbent is responsible for leading the Infrastructure and User Support team. The Advisor will be responsible for the efficient management of technological infrastructures (servers, storage units, networks, backup site, etc.). He will contribute to the development of different strategies related to the activities of the team. It ensures the evolution of the technological infrastructure by anticipating needs and providing the required support for IT users.

Details of responsibilities:

  1. Plan, organize and coordinate the team's activities;
  2. Participate in the development of the IT master plan and ensure its follow-up at the level of infrastructure projects;
  3. Act as responsible for operation and availability of infrastructure services (including succession);
  4. Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with good practices;
  5. Be able to provide estimates precise and ensure that deadlines are met;
  6. Responsible for implementing tools and procedures to ensure IT security;
  7. Evaluate and approve requests for changes to changes infrastructure and monitor these changes;
  8. Responsible for implementation and evolution of processes, practices, methodologies and tools related to the service of the team and make the required changes;
  9. Implement metrics to measure the performance of the team and react proactively when anomalies are noted;
  10. Coordinate activities during critical incidents;
  11. Responsible for maintaining the IT succession plan;
  12. Develop and maintain business relationships with suppliers;
  13. Ensure the preparation and management of budgets in collaboration with his team;
  14. Act as representative of his team at the 'internal;
  15. Help recruit and integrate new team members.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate in information systems management or equivalent training combined with relevant experience
  • 8 to 10 years of experience relevant in information technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel management
  • Mastery of security and operational concepts
  • Knowledge of latest technological trends
  • Demonstrate leadership and be able to exercise a role of influence
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal communications
  • Have a good synthesis skills
  • Being customer-oriented
  • Resourcefulness, interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Having an analytical approach to solving complex problems
  • Ability to manage time and priorities well
  • Have a good knowledge of (functional) English
