NV-09As a Web Developer, you contribute to IT efficiency. You analyze, design, configure, develop, maintain and upgrade software in accordance with the organization's needs. You take responsibility for the quality of coded solutions.You draw on your ability to work with technology and anticipate innovations to help develop, standardize and roll out medium- to large‑scale IT systems, programs and applications. You analyze client and partner needs and influence decisions regarding appropriate IT solutions. To this end, you plan, prioritize and coordinate work to deliver on the commitments made in line with the objectives. The nature of your files and projects calls for comprehensive knowledge of your field. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of the line of business. Coordination is critical. You frequently interact with various stakeholders working in complementary areas of expertise. You act as a systems resource person for your unit and for clients and various stakeholders.Desjardins is looking for a developer to join its new IT squad. This new squad is responsible for defining, developing and supporting IT applications related to the Desjardins Identity Protection service (registration, monitoring, member communications, incident management, solution development, etc.)

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities 

  • Play an active role in developing execution strategies and analyze and develop software products, including design, coding, test automation and operations, while applying best practices in development, data and security

  • Document technical solutions and practices to ensure product sustainability, develop documentation, and prepare and deliver training for peers and consumers

  • Provide technical support for IT operations. Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve critical and complex system problems 

  • Co-create with business partners and architects to gain a complete understanding of business intentions and objectives, and standardize solutions accordingly  

  • Lead software installation and testing as well as application rollout

Other working conditions

  • Work location: Currently on a regular telework basis due to the pandemic. To be located in Montreal or Lévis according to the selected candidate's preference. The hybrid work mode applies to the position

  • Number of jobs available : 2


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
