NV-08The Cross-Sector Solutions Department (CSD) is a team that develops common application systems and services that can be used by the entire division. The department is made up of 3 application fields: communications, security and client relations.As a developer at the CSD, you help upgrade legacy systems and develop new applications and complex functionalities that are essential to a number of business units. You work with your team to analyze needs in order to identify the required system changes. You program in traditional development environments and increasingly in the cloud (Pivotal Cloud Foundry). You help review your peers' code and play an important role in your Scrum or Kanban squad where delivery quality is concerned.In addition to your technical skills and your experience, as a team player you demonstrate open-mindedness regarding Agile approaches, and therefore versatility and a desire to contribute to all the work carried out by the team, even if it sometimes takes you beyond your primary role (T-shape). This also means communicating with your teammates in a transparent and respectful manner, and receiving constructive feedback. To be a good team player, your ability and curiosity to learn about market approaches, tools and trends is essential.
General Information on the Position
Work closely with your team to:
Design optimal, efficient and scalable solutions.
Control development quality and automate testing.
Continuously improve the processes, practices and tools used by your team and management.
Develop/configure applications, software and tools.
Analyze the functional and non-functional specifications of business managers for requests relating to application and system development or upgrades.
Identify impacts of changes on other existing applications, tools and systems, and propose solutions.
Help develop test strategies and ensure the quality of deliverables according to best practices (TDD, BDD, ATDD).
