NV-09As part of its digital strategy, Desjardins is transforming the development services our team offers for supporting and maintaining cloud computing platforms and services. This includes an application platform (PaaS) with VMware Tanzu Application Service technology based on Cloud Foundry, a platform (CaaS) with Kubernetes technology, tools and a continuous delivery practice (CI/CD).We're looking for new people to help us meet the growing demand for our platforms and services. If you're passionate about cloud technology (Azure, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, microservices ...) and want to be actively involved in the transformation, we have an opportunity for you.As an operations analyst for system and infrastructure operations, maintenance and development, you contribute to IT efficiency. You design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade computer networks, management systems and database servers in accordance with the organization's needs.You analyze and help diagnose issues and situations related to your field. You provide advice in accordance with the rules of your discipline in order to recommend solutions for improving or optimizing standards, policies and programs. You propose appropriate implementation plans. The nature of the files and projects require in-depth expertise in your field.You provide discipline-specific support to your unit, clients and partners.

Main responsibilities

  • Help clients define their needs and identify, input, analyze and interpret data to inform IT solution decisions and monitor the application of management policies and practices. Analyze risks, prepare moderately complex reports and test cases, propose solutions, make recommendations, and provide advice on how to implement recommendations

  • Prepare and recommend action plans and address issues in accordance with rules and parameters

  • Actively help develop, implement and update management policies, practices and standards.

Additional responsibilities

  • Serve as a data services specialist in charge of operating the platform.

  • Take on a leadership role in your field of expertise with users.

  • Define, develop, operationalize and monitor data services strategies and action plans to ensure operational excellence, security and best practices.

  • Monitor the industry to understand and anticipate trends in your field of expertise and make appropriate recommendations with a view to developing best practices for the organization.

  • Develop performance indicators and tracking methods. Identify problems and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned to improve service delivery.

  • Represent the unit when meeting with internal and external stakeholders in connection with your assignments.

  • Help develop communication strategies and plans for the projects and mandates under your responsibility.

  • Help plan the program increments in your field of expertise.

  • Schedule: The person in this position periodically ensures IT support on a rotating basis outside of work hours (paid)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • DBMS operating experience

  • Experience working in Agile mode (an asset)

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts (Gitflow, CI/CD)

  • Knowledge of cloud computing data services

  • Knowledge of DBMS capabilities (relational and non-relational databases)

  • Knowledge of IaC (infrastructure as code) and automation for our internal practice

  • Sound knowledge of Linux

  • Knowledge of the Azure environment (an asset)

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker (an asset)
