NV-09We are currently looking for a BI Developer with strong administrator expertise on the Power BI and Tableau platforms to join our Data Visualization Centre of Expertise. We are a dynamic, cross-functional team with a mission to develop, maintain and optimize data and analytics capabilities in support of all business lines. Our team works in agile mode and consists of functional analysts, front-end and back-end developers, BI tool administrators, scrum masters, and product owners. We might have the perfect professional opportunity for you!As a BI Developer, you will draw on your proficiency with technology to help develop medium- to large-scale solutions and applications, and then provide the required support. You will assist in analyzing client needs and establishing what direction the development process should take. To this end, you will plan, prioritize and coordinate work to keep the commitments made in accordance with the targeted objectives. Your projects and initiatives will require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You will assist in implementing development solutions or patches, for which the ability to manage complexity is critical. You will be required to interact with stakeholders working in complementary, technology-related fields. You will advise and assist our business partners and various stakeholders with regard to systems.

Additional responsabilities

  • Develop data exploration and dashboarding solutions with Power BI and Tableau
  • Administer the Power BI and Tableau platforms
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve Power BI and Tableau applications
  • Take part in resolving incidents and issues by proposing solutions, developing action plans and assisting our business partners
  • Provide technical support to other team developers
  • Stay abreast of best development practices and ensure they are known and used by development teams
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing by writing articles in our knowledge base (Confluence, Yammer, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft Power BI and Tableau Software visualization tools (Google Analytics, an asset)

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Ability to handle database and programming (SQL, DAX, PowerShell and JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle and SAS)
  • Knowledge of Citrix
  • Knowledge of API development (Rest) (an asset)
  • Proficient knowledge of data visualization best practices
  • Excellent English and French communication skills, both verbal and written
