With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within LBC Tech, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.The role of the Assistant Vice President, Infrastructure Services is to plan, organize, and lead staff and overall operations to ensure the stable and cost-effective infrastructure services. This includes planning, maintaining, supporting, modernizing and optimizing key functional areas including applications, infrastructure and processes. This role operates within a primarily outsourced IT services environment.


º Leads the delivery of all infrastructure services, leveraging internal IT. resources (system administrators (Windows/Unix/VMware), DBAs, integrators and 3rd party service providers as required. º Leads the modernization of the infrastructure services, include the Cloud journeyº Establishes and monitors key performance indicators, taking effective action where results are below internal and vendor SLA targets. º Oversees the Architectural due diligence for databases, VMware, and backup solutions; and Infrastructure Applications support to achieve High-availability targetsº Ensures timely remediation and reporting of Audit gaps º Conducts Vendor performance review and Manages escalations from Infrastructure services teamº Review and recommend for approval by the vice president, licenses, maintenance, and support contracts º Ensures smooth delivery of complex high value projects from inception through to benefits realization.º Guides Senior manager in conducting annual performance planning, review & Training


Qualificationsº University Degree in a technical or business-related discipline with at least 15+ years of related experienceº At least 5 years in management role in a 24x7 operating environment. º Deep technical understanding of Cloud Strategy and DevOps Strategy implementationsº Experience managing a multi-cloud hybrid strategies and environments (Corporate data centers, Azure, AWS, GCP), including ongoing security and compliance reviews, access and availability, performance, stability and scalability; and cost optimizationº Experience with software-defined infrastructure and infrastructure-as-codeº Experience using Terraform for cloud provisioning and immutable infrastructureº Experience with supporting Cloud Native applications for scalability, resiliency and containerizationº Senior level understanding of server administration including (Unix/Windows), and VMware.º Senior level understanding of enterprise database environments such as Oracle and SQL.º Experience managing or delivering IT services and operations in a mixed managed environment. including both in-house managed services and outsourced and managed services environments. º Experience applying ITIL best practices º Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in core competencies including leadership, people management, strategic thinking, teamwork, adaptability, problem solving, judgement and decision making. º Bilingualism (English/French) communication skills are an asset.Other:º On call availability for Incident and change managementº After hours and weekend implementations management and coordination
