NV-09As an IT security advisor, you help protect IT hardware, software and data against modification, destruction, and accidental or unauthorized disclosure. You also assist in authentication and access control by designing, administering and controlling proven security systems. You analyze IT system vulnerabilities and implement protective measures to back up, restore and secure systems.You advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives related to the management and resolution of major IT security events. You recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work.You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you interact with stakeholders working in other technology fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

General Information on the Position

Main Responsibilities

  • Helps with strategic planning on his/her unit and develops concrete strategies and methods to ensure implementation of orientations

  • Coordinates activities for updates and business projects for which he/she is responsible and recommends required actions, while ensuring they are in line with the services offered by his/her unit

  • Constantly monitors the quality of IT services and quickly identifies situations that could threaten the stability of IT environments by analyzing recurring problems, identifying any that may become critical, and making recommendations

  • Actively participates in developing master plans as well as plans for upgrading IT services, processes and procedures

  • Coordinates teams and stakeholders in the event of wide scale-changes

  • Represents his/her unit on various committees and provides advice to the management team in his/her area of expertise

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement; suggests and recommends solutions to optimize and improve work processes and methods, services and tools

  • Is responsible for the integrity of information and maintaining an end-to-end vision of services provided by partners.

  • Workplace: Position located in Montreal or Lévis, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
